“ AMAZING experience! Our chef was Arturo and he was wonderful. We sat at the bar, and it was amazing to watch the sushi being prepared so fresh right in front of you. Our favorites were tiger roll and spider roll!! And the rib gyozo was sooo good. You will leave VERY happy!!! ”
“ I wanted to come after trying it in Madrid and the experience was fantastic! We sat at the bar which is in my opinion the best place to sit so you can see everything they’re prepping for you and what the chef recommends! Everything from the drinks to the food, the music and the overall ambiance was top notch. Chef Gabriel was very friendly and attentive and he made sure we had everything we wanted, including a nigiri I had tried in Madrid and didn’t see on the menu…Nigiri Hotaru. We also LOVED the Tiger Roll, perfect combination of sweet and zesty. Excited to come back! Gracias Hotaru Lomas! ”
“ Went to celebrate my birthday and had the loveliest time. Our chef Irvin Hernandez was so knowledgeable and provided excellent service. The food was also great. We wished we had bigger stomachs to be able to try everything. What a memorable dinner will definitely be back here ”
“ Hotaru offers a nice selection of interesting combination of makis. You can taste that the fishes are fresh and of good quality. Unfortunately, with the rolls, I didn’t feel like there was enough fish for me to taste. It would have been nice if they cut bigger pieces of fish and put them in the rolls because I felt that the rolls (while small) were all masqueraded with other ingredients that didn’t matter. We ordered the Taquitos Mixto (as a starter) Tiger Rolls and the Spider Rolls. They were all okay. Nothing so exciting to justify the prices they charge. We didn’t stay long or order more food unfortunately, because my son could not eat anything there. They do not have a kid friendly menu. It would be nice if they offered at least gohan, udon or fried rice. So parents be aware if your kid is a picky eater or has a peculiar diet. This wouldn’t be the best place to eat. However, the service and reception was an absolute delight. Everyone was very kind, sweet and polite. We really appreciated this aspect the most. Our bill for 2 mocktails, 1 entree, 2 rolls and service was close to $1,500. ”
“ Okay, I have mixed feelings on this place. We sat at bar and the service was from "Ivan" was excellent. Also the hostess and manager were excellent. The atmosphere was also very nice. My issue was with the food. The fish was very fresh, this was great. The problem I had was all the added ingredients like different oils, sauces, mayonnaise etc. This is not traditional Japanese Sushi. Also the crab roll was not real crab, does not make sense. If you want a fusion Japanese place with good rolls and very fresh fish, then you will like it. If you are looking for a traditional Japanese Omakase restaurant, this is not that place. ”
